For more information on tools, read the Tools and Fasteners Guide.

Windshield Installation
The Hard Coat Poly Vented Full Windshield is part number 2883756. View the full line of available Polaris windshields for other options.

To install a windshield, follow these steps:

1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and shift the transmission into PARK.

2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the key.

3. Align the windshield onto the ROPS while supporting the bottom to prevent scratches to finished surfaces.

4. Rotate the four clamps out over the ROPS to lock into place.

5. The vents can be opened or closed by rotating up or down.

6. To remove the windshield, rotate the clamps inward to release them from the ROPS. Then carefully remove the windshield.

Rear Poly Panel Installation

    Tools Required

To install the rear poly panel, follow these steps:

    1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and shift the transmission into PARK.

    2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the key.

    3. Using a T40 TORX® socket, remove and retain the two body panel fasteners from between the seats.

    4. Install the rear panel bracket with the previously removed fasteners, making sure the vertical part of the bracket is facing rearward. Torque the fasteners to 89 in-lbs (10 Nm).

    5. Starting inside the vehicle, maneuver the rear panel over the seats and align the side clamps to the ROPS.

    6. Compress the seal to fit securely against the body panel, ensuring the mounting bracket is outside of the rear panel.

    7. Rotate the two side clamps downward to secure the rear panel to the vertical tubes.

    8. Then rotate the two top clamps upward to secure the panel to the upper horizontal tube.

    9. Finish by securing the poly panel to the panel bracket with the included knob fastener.

    Doors Closeoff Insert Installation

      Tools Required

      • T20 TORX® Socket
      • Torque Wrench
      • T40 TORX® Socket
      • Ratchet
      • Door Closeoff Inserts (Part Number 2883765)

To install the door closeoff inserts, follow these steps:

      1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and shift the transmission into PARK.

      2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the key.

      3. Using a T20 TORX® socket, remove and retain the two bracket fasteners and trim bracket from the door panel.

      4. Next, using a T40 TORX® socket, remove and retain the 11 outer door panel fasteners.

      5. Then, remove the door panel and carefully set it aside.

      6. Next, remove the three metal clamps securing the door trim to the door panel and carefully remove the trim from the panel.

      7. Remove and retain the four U-nuts on the door trim and discard the trim.

      8. Align the accessory closeoff panel with the door panel. Start by installing the top tabs into the door panel and then slide the bottom mounts over the tabs protruding from the door panel.

      9. Next, install the four previously removed U-nuts into the mounting locations of the accessory closeoff panel.

      10. Align the door panel with the door frame and install the 11 door panel fasteners. Torque the fasteners to 35 in-lbs (4 Nm).

      11. Reinstall the trim bracket with the two fasteners. Torque to 18 in-lbs (2 Nm).

      12. Finish by inspecting the door for proper operation.

      Aluminum Roof Installation

        Tools Required

        • T40 TORX® Socket
        • Torque Wrench
        • Ratchet

The 2-Seat Light Pocket Aluminum Roof is part number 2883961-458. The 4-Seat Light Pocket Aluminum Roof is part number 2883991-458.

To install the aluminum roof, follow these steps:

        1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and shift the transmission into PARK.

        2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the key.

        3. Peel the backing off the roof foam. Apply the foam pieces to the underside of the roof panel within the etched dash marks or against the rivets of the light bar pocket.

        4. Install the eight U-nuts onto the four corners of the ROPS. The convex-style mounting holes of the U-nuts will help align it with the holes in the ROPS.

        5. Next, install the roof panel onto the body. Using a T40 TORX® socket, install a fastener, spacer and washer into the four front mounting locations on the roof. Do not torque at this time.

        6. Slowly pull the roof panel back to mold it to the ROPS curvature, ensuring the foam pieces align with the ROPS on all four sides.

        7. Then using a T40 TORX® fastener, install a fastener, spacer and washer into the four rear mounting locations on the roof.

        8. Torque all roof fasteners to 8 ft-lbs (11 Nm).

        9. Next, push the rubber grommet into the harness routing hole until it is fully seated.

        10. Finish by re-checking the torque on all roof fasteners. Compression of the foam pieces may cause the torque to change.

        Side Mirror Installation
The Adjustable Folding Side Mirrors are part number 2883762. To install the side mirrors, follow these steps:

        1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and shift the transmission into PARK.

        2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the key.

        3. Begin by installing the left clamp on the A pillar.

        4. Next, install the left-hand mirror into the clamp and secure with the binding post receiver.

        5. Pivot the assembly up to hand-tighten the binding fastener.

        6. Next, reposition the mirror at the desired location when seated in the vehicle.

        7. Then counter-hold the upper fastener and torque the lower binding fastener to 7.5 ft-lbs (10 Nm) with a T30 TORX® socket.

        8. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle and verify proper operation of the mirrors. Minor adjustments can be made by applying light pressure on the glass edges.
