The Polaris Trail Manager Program allows Powersports Clubs to contribute to the trail data that RIDE COMMAND users rely on for safe and exciting rides. As a Trail Manager, you can edit local trails, sponsors and waypoints. Applications and membership are both free, just like being a user on the RIDE COMMAND app.
Apply on the RIDE COMMAND website. The email address you use to apply can be a personal or Club email address, but it must be associated with an existing RIDE COMMAND account. A Trail Ambassador will review your application and may follow up with questions.
What are the benefits for my Club?
- You have the ability to control the digital map for your area. When local changes happen (like downed trees, maintenance and trail reroutes), you can close trails and add information that riders need. You can also designate private property to reduce trespassing.
- When you create or update Off-Road trails, you can specify the type of vehicle the trail was designed for (ATV, OHM, ROV, ROV50 or Other), name the trail, associate your club with the trail, designate the type of trail (trail, road or unmaintained), difficulty rating and its status as an open or closed trail. When you create or update Snow trails, you can name the trail, associate it with your club, designate the type of trail (trunk/corridor, trail, club or unmaintained) and its status as an open or closed trail.
- You can add businesses that sponsor your Club to the map. Sponsors that you designate will always be shown, even when riders do not have the business layer of the maps active. There is no cost associated with Polaris for this feature, but charges to the sponsor are up to the Club, which retains all proceeds.
What are the benefits for riders?
- They receive accurate, safe trail options.
- Edits that you make to your local maps are automatically synced to the public RIDE COMMAND app and website maps. For the in-vehicle display, the trail updates are included in the daily maps package update for the next day.
- Maintaining up-to-date trail routes keeps trails open when properly directed riders cause fewer issues for property managers.
If you're not a Trail Manager and want to contribute to trails, submit feedback on either the RIDE COMMAND app (by selecting "Report an Issue") or website (by submitting site feedback). All submissions are evaluated.
If you're a Trail Manager and want to contribute to trails outside of your county, you can submit feedback through the RIDE COMMAND app or site or reach out to your Trail Ambassador.
