Z-25-01 RZR Safety Recall

The following is a copy of the Z-25-01 Consumer Email issued on 1/31/2025. Vehicles affected by this safety recall will receive a notification by mail to the address the vehicle is registered to.

Dear Polaris Owner,

Polaris has determined that on some Model Year 2022-2025 RZR Pro R / Pro R 4 vehicles, the fasteners on the vehicle’s rollover protective structure (ROPS) pillar joints may be missing or were installed, but not tightened. A missing or not tightened fastener on the ROPS pillar joint may result in reduced protection for occupants in the event of a rollover or tip over, posing an injury hazard. Our records show you have purchased an affected vehicle. Polaris has informed the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) about the issue.

A repair solution is available. To get your vehicle repaired, contact your authorized Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment to have the repairs
performed. Do not attempt repairs yourself. Repairs must be done only by an authorized Polaris dealer. This repair should take approximately 30 minutes or less. When making contact with your dealer, discuss parts availability, their schedule and how long they will need to keep your vehicle.

Your safety is a top priority for us; however, we realize this safety notice is an unwanted disruption in your ownership journey. We are providing owners with information that will allow you to keep riding safely prior to repair, by following the enclosed ROPS Fastener Verification Instructions:

1. Read, understand, and follow the ROPS Fastener Verification Instructions linked HERE.

2. The fasteners where the ROPS attaches to the frame (chassis) must be inspected to determine they are present and tightened in order to keep riding. On Pro R, this means confirming that the fasteners at 6 pillar joints are present and tightened. On Pro R4, this means confirming that the fasteners at 8 pillar joints are present and tightened.

Important: This inspection process is only meant to keep you riding safely prior to having the recall completed at your dealer. The safety recall will remain open on your VIN until a dealer completes the full inspection and as necessary repairs.

Owner Next Steps:

  • Failure to follow these instructions may lead to injury.
  • Visit our Product Safety Recall web page to verify if your off-road vehicle is impacted by this safety recall. Search for the model or vehicle identification number (VIN) on the site to confirm.
  • Do not attempt repairs yourself. Repairs must be done by an authorized Polaris dealer. Your local dealer can be found on our Dealer Locator web page.

Dealership Next Steps:
To address this concern, Polaris has authorized your dealer to inspect all ROPS fasteners and repair if needed. This work will be performed by your dealer at no cost to you.

If you have other questions or feedback, you may contact our Polaris Owner Connections Department at 1-800-765-2747 to speak with a representative.

We apologize for this inconvenience and assure you that we are committed to customer satisfaction for riders to enjoy.
