Polaris Recalls Some Model Year 2023-2024 Ranger XP Kinetic Vehicles

Polaris has determined that on some Model Year 2023-2024 RANGER XP Kinetic vehicles, the high voltage cables on the motor controller unit (MCU) can be loose. A loose high voltage cable may arc or overheat during vehicle operation resulting in a fire and/or unintended acceleration posing a crash hazard and risk of serious injury.

Number of affected vehicles: approximately 1,700 units globally

Number of incidents: Polaris has identified 1 report of unintended acceleration and fire, and 6 reports of melting on/around the MCU. Polaris has not identified any reports of personal injury or crashes associated with this concern.

Consumers should immediately stop using the impacted units and contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule the inspection and repair, if needed. DO NOT attempt any repairs yourself.

Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners directly.
