About Polaris RANGER

RANGER Models

RANGER 1000 and RANGER XP 1000 are both 1000cc full-size, utility side by sides offering 1,000-lb. box capacity and 2,500-lb. towing capacity. However, RANGER XP 1000 has a dual overhead cam (DOHC) engine that delivers 82 horsepower, while RANGER 1000 is powered by a single overhead cam (SOHC) engine that offers 61 horsepower and is tuned for high torque at low rpms. While both are great for work, you'll get more horsepower and quicker performance from the XP 1000, which is ideal for both work and trail-riding scenarios while the RANGER 1000 is a true workhorse. RANGER XP 1000 also features more ground clearance, premium seating, suspension travel and more.
