From Tractors to Trophies | Brock Heger Balances Farming and Racing

From the fields of California to the front lines of off-road racing—how did Brock Heger become one of the world’s top side-by-side drivers? CBS recently caught up with the champion Polaris racer to find out. 

In an interview with reporter Kris Van Cleave, Brock shares his remarkable journey, noting how the long days he spent working on the farm instilled a relentless work ethic—one that now fuels his championship drive. When he’s not chasing the top of the podium, talking to the media, or traveling to race events, Brock continues to work on the farm, often balancing his weekends between both.

Since joining Polaris and the RZR Factory Racing team in 2023, Brock has taken the side-by-side world by storm with a series of wins and head-turning performances. In his debut year, Brock helped lead the RZR Factory Racing team to victory at the 2025 Dakar Rally, a grueling 14-day race across the Saudi Arabian desert, in a RZR Pro R Factory vehicle.
