Tanner Foust: Hey guys, you know what time it is? It's time for 60-second showdown! That's right, we got the cream of the crop here. We got the XP 1000 Northstar Edition versus the Can-Am Defender Limited Edition. You have one minute, go!
Heavy D: Ooh, let me start. Listen, these machines have cabs for a reason, right? To keep the elements out and to keep the fun and the family safe and secure inside. And the Polaris Ranger just has a better cab. More comfortable, quieter, everything's more intuitive. It's my choice 100%.
Diesel Dave: When you get the Ranger and the Defender side by side, you get it. There's no comparison to comfort. You got the seats, you got the ergonomics and the comfort and everything laid out perfectly in your Ranger. But more importantly, if you're anything like you and you're terrible with directions, this guy has a built-in GPS with the full screen, with navigation, with the stereos. The speakers are facing right at your face so when you're starting to talk technology, this has technology that flat out doesn't. No screen, no GPS.
Heavy D: You try to change the temperature? Not going to happen because it is a full process, whereas this, the switches tell you exactly what they're going to do, how it's going to do it, and boom, everything is right at your fingertips, happening right as you ask it.
Diesel Dave: You're not going to change temperature because you're too busy hitting your knuckles on the dang shifter every time.
Heavy D: What about the steel cable they use for the winch?
Diesel Dave: Oh no, that's actually solid technology for 1945. But when you compare the winches, you've got steel cabling versus synthetic soft cable that floats in the water. It's got an auto-stop feature...
Tanner Foust: Oh, that's it, that's it! Sorry, I let the time run over at 60 seconds. You guys didn't even get on bushings, you didn't get on a lot of stuff that we talked about. We're obviously passionate about this. But here's the deal, guys, don't just take our word for it. Get out to a local Polaris dealer and make the comparison for yourself 'cause I promise you, you'll find the differences and you'll be just as sold as we are. And we will see you next time on 60-Second Showdown. Well, I cannot prove or disprove the opinions of Heavy D and Diesel Dave. They are participants in this as opinion-contributing people, with myself just with our opinions on these tests is on me.
