Indian Motorcycle Recalls Some Model Year 2014-2020 Heavyweight Air Cooled Motorcycles

Indian Motorcycle has determined that some Model Year 2014-2020 Heavyweight Air Cooled Motorcycles may experience loss of forward lighting. If this event does occur, the high beam indicator will flash on the gauge cluster. If the motorcycle lighting malfunctions while in operation, it may reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash and serious injury.

To address this concern, contact your authorized Indian Motorcycle dealer to schedule an appointment to have a free inspection and repair performed. Do not attempt repairs yourself. Repairs must be done only by an authorized Indian Motorcycle dealer.

Indian Motorcycle is notifying dealers and contacting affected registered owners by mail and email.

To search on-road recalls by model or vehicle identification number (VIN) to see if your vehicle is affected by any recalls, visit the On-Road Safety Recalls page or call the Indian Motorcycle Owner Connections Department at 1-877-204-3697.

*In May 2019, Indian Motorcycle recalled Model Year 2014 Heavyweight Air Cooled Motorcycles for the reported concern following our notification to NHTSA. In August 2022, Indian Motorcycle expanded the affected vehicle population and notified dealers and affected registered owners following our notification to NHTSA.
