Service Bulletin - Victory Motorcycles - Missing California ARB Emissions Certification Label

Dear Victory Owner:

This notice is sent to you to inform you of a potential California ARB regulatory issue on your motorcycle. The Victory Motorcycle Division of Polaris Industries Inc. has identified that some Model Year 2006 and 2007 Victory Motorcycles have had a Victory Stage I Performance Exhaust Kit installed onto them that did not include the required ARB emissions label. Only a small number of customers have purchased and installed this kit onto their motorcycle. If you have not installed a Victory Stage I performance Exhaust kit onto your motorcycle, this notice does not affect you.

The reason for this notice:

The affected Performance Exhaust kits were not certified by the California ARB at the time of their distribution. These kits have since been certified, but if your kit was installed prior to certification, the required emissions labeling is not installed on your motorcycle.

What you should do:

Your dealer has been sent the required ARB emissions label with instructions to place one on any affected motorcycle. If you have had a Victory Stage I Performance Exhaust Kit installed on your motorcycle, please make arrangements to have the emissions label placed on your machine. While the time required to place this label on your machine (if necessary) is only a few minutes, please contact your dealer so he can schedule the time appropriately. If a label is required for your motorcycle, it will be placed under the right side frame cover. Once installed, the label cannot be seen from the outside of the motorcycle.
