Polaris Expands Recall on Model Year 2015-18 Slingshot Models

This recall affects Slingshot S, SL, SLR, and Grand Touring models.

Issued in March 2018 the recall affects some Model-Year 2015-18 Slingshot S, SL, SLR, and Grand Touring models. Effective March 7, 2019, Polaris is expanding the affected population to include some 2019 models.

Polaris has determined that small numbers of Slingshot vehicles may have been manufactured with improper seat base frame welds, which may allow the seat back or seat belt buckle to separate and may increase the risk of injury in a crash, or with improperly manufactured seat sliders, which may allow the seat to slide unexpectedly and may increase the risk of a crash.

Consumers should contact their local Polaris dealer to schedule a repair. Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting all affected registered owners directly.
