Polaris has determined that some Model Year 2023-2025 Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar and Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar Crew vehicles may have been built with lower seat belt anchor fasteners that were not properly torqued, which could result in the seat belt separating from the anchor point, posing a potential injury hazard to consumers.

Number of affected vehicles: approximately 660 globally

Number of incidents: Polaris has identified two vehicles with loose seat belt anchor fasteners. Polaris has not identified any reports of personal injury associated with this concern.

Consumers should contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair. Do not attempt any repairs yourself.

To help keep consumers riding safely in the meantime, impacted consumers should follow the Seat Belt Fastener Verification Instructions. You can find those instructions here. Once a consumer has completed the instructions and found all the fasteners to be tightened, a consumer may continue to operate their vehicle prior to the recall repair being completed by a Polaris-authorized dealer. If any fasteners are found to be loose, do not operate your vehicle until it is inspected and repaired, if needed, by an authorized Polaris dealer.

Consumers who do not feel comfortable performing the inspection should stop riding their vehicles until it is repaired by an authorized Polaris dealer.

Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners directly.
