Polaris Recalls for Some Model Year 2023-2024 Sportsman 850, XP 1000, and XP 1000 S ATVs
>Polaris has determined that some Model Year 2023-2024 Polaris Sportsman 850, XP 1000, and XP 1000 S ATVs may experience a fuel leak at the fuel pump flange outlet. A fuel leak at the pump flange outlet could flow in close proximity to a hot surface, posing a fire hazard and risk of serious injury.
Number of affected vehicles: approximately 12,600 units globally
Number of incidents: Polaris has identified 14 reports of fuel leaks and three reports of fire. Polaris has not identified any reports of personal injury associated with this concern.
This concern also affects service parts. If your vehicle has been replaced with a fuel pump kit with part numbers 2208595 or 2208596 or a fuel tank assembly with part numbers 2522378 or 2522379, it is also affected. Your Polaris dealer will contact you if your unit has an affected service part.
Consumers should immediately stop using the impacted units and contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule the repair. DO NOT attempt any repairs yourself.
Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners directly.
