Polaris Recalls Some Model Year 2022-2025 RZR Pro R and RZR Pro R 4 Vehicles

Polaris has determined that on some Model Year 2022-2025 RZR Pro R / Pro R 4 vehicles, the fasteners on the vehicle’s rollover protective structure (ROPS) pillar joints may be missing or were installed, but not tightened. A missing or not tightened fastener on the ROPS pillar joint may result in reduced protection for occupants in the event of a rollover or tip over, posing an injury hazard.

Number of affected vehicles: approximately 1,020 globally

Number of incidents: Polaris has identified two vehicles with missing fasteners and one vehicle with a fastener that was not tightened. Polaris has not identified any reports of personal injury associated with this concern.

Consumers should contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule the inspection and repair, if needed. Do not attempt any repairs yourself.

To help keep consumers riding safely in the meantime, impacted consumers should follow the ROPS Fastener Verification Instructions. You can find those instructions here. Once a consumer has completed the instructions and found all the fasteners to be present and tightened, a consumer may continue to operate their vehicle prior to the recall inspection and repair, if needed, being completed by a Polaris-authorized dealer. If any fasteners are found to be missing or were installed but not tightened, do not operate your vehicle until it is inspected and repaired, if needed, by an authorized Polaris dealer.

Consumers who do not feel comfortable performing the inspection should stop riding their vehicles until it is inspected and repaired, if needed, by an authorized Polaris dealer.

Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners directly.
