Replacement Keys for Snowmobiles

For most snowmobile ignitions, Polaris offers key blanks that can be cut to match an existing key. If both keys have been lost, you will need to replace the ignition. Contact your Polaris Dealer for key and ignition replacement assistance. Reference the information below when contacting them. 

There are two types of replacement keys available, depending on your snowmobile. 

Key Code Keys
If your key looks like the one shown below, find your key code. The key code is the four digits on the original key, as seen below. Note: You may need to remove your rubber key cover to locate the key code.

Refer to this key code when contacting your Polaris Dealer. 

Dot Code Key
If your key looks like the one shown below, your key uses a key code dot system. These keys are square, as shown below, and are identified by the number of dots on the key.

The dots correspond to a letter code, which must be matched from the original key:

This letter code can also be found on the underside of the ignition switch body if keys are not available. Reference the letter code that corresponds to your key when contacting your Polaris Dealer
