This video is meant to familiarize the rider with the location of information and components on a RANGER XD 1500.
The video looks at the
- 0:29 Front of the vehicle (windshield wiper, windshield wiper nozzle, front bumper with top bar, 6,000 LB PRO HD Winch, D-rings, integrated auxiliary lights, front grille, battery trickle-charging port)
- 0:57 Vehicle hood, which can be removed by turning the two quarter turn latches and sliding forward. Underneath the hood (engine intake, wiper fluid bottle, pulse bar, brake fluid fill, HVAC intake, shock mount access, radiator clean out access panel)
- 1:28 Front suspension (shock assembly, sway bar link, A-arms, ball joints, tie rod assembly, CV joints and axle)
- 1:52 Brake fluid reservoir, which can be viewed through the left front wheel well.
- 1:57 Headlight adjustments, which can be found under both front fenders and in the wheel wells.
- 2:04 Door (door handle, door latch, lower storage compartment). Doors can be locked and unlocked by using the provided key.
- 2:19 Inside the driver’s seat (can be adjusted using the lever in the middle of the seat)
- 2:26 Top dash (upper speaker, phone holder, defrost vent, storage tray, windshield tip-out release)
- 2:45 Front of the driver seat (HVAC vent, instrument cluster with mode and navigation, AWD/rear differential lock switch, drive mode switch with standard, sport, comfort and tow/haul modes, 4-position headlight switch, auxiliary lights, cargo box tilt switch, telescoping and tilting steering wheel, ignition switch, shifter, transmission neutral disconnect, diagnostic plug. - 5:34 Passenger side of the dash (upper storage compartment with USB cable, HVAC vents, speaker, passenger grab handle, glove box with a tool kit that has a T40 TORX® wrench, T30 TORX® wrench, T25 TORX® wrench, multi-function pliers, shock adjustment tool, 10mm socket and handle, spark plug wrench, spare fuses, tire pressure gauge)
- 6:23 Lower dashboard (speakers, lower storage tray, lower vents)
- 6:31 Overhead (accessories switch panel, rear work light switch, rearview mirror, dome light and switch, rear power fuse access)
- 6:48 Center flip down seat that transforms into an armrest (cup holders, phone holder, storage compartment)
- 6:59 Storage compartment, which can be accessed by lifting up the bench seat.
- 7:04 Fuse box, which is located under the rear most passenger seat. Open it by turning the quarter turn latch.
- 7:13 Battery, which is also under the rear most passenger seat, accessible by two quarter turn latches.
- 7:20 Fuel cap, which is located on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Side steps are on both sides of the vehicle.
- 7:27 Tilting cargo box, which will give you access to the (air box with air filter service indicator, coolant overflow, spark plugs, dipstick and oil filter can be found behind the rear passenger wheel well)
- 7:47 Rear suspension (shock assembly, upper A-arm, sway bar, sway bar link, lower A-arm, CV boot and axle)
- 8:04 Three grease zerks, which can be located on the driveshafts and one on the transmission shifter.
- 8:14 Tailgate, which can be lowered by releasing the rear cargo box latch.
- 8:19 Rear of the vehicle (rear window panel, work light)
- 8:24 Cargo box (tire pressure specifications label, 12-volt auxiliary power port, D-rings, bucket holders, LOCK & RIDE MAX rails, cup holders, ruler, storage slots)
- 8:48 Rear of the vehicle (rear camera, tow hitch)
- 8:54 Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) label locations.
