Always clean all dirt and debris away from the airbox area before servicing the air filter on your Polaris RZR. Always wear safety glasses and nitrile gloves. Always change the air filter at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart found in your Owner’s Manual.
To change the air filter on a RZR 800, RZR 4 800, S 800, RANGER RZR or RANGER RZR S, do the following:
1. Access the airbox from behind the left rear wheel.
2. Remove the airbox cover and inspect the gasket. It should adhere tightly to the cover around the entire edge.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Install a new filter if needed. The replacement filter is part number 1240482. Do not attempt to clean the air filter. Apply a small amount of general purpose grease to the sealing edges of the filter before installing.
5. Inspect the airbox for oil or water deposits. If present, drain them into a suitable container.
