Updating the Fuel Type
Read Snowmobile Fuel Type Selection for instructions on how to change the fuel type on your vehicle’s specific gauge.

Storing Your Snowmobile
As the riding season draws to a close, Polaris recommends riders begin treating their snowmobile’s fuel system with the recommended amount of Polaris Carbon Clean (part number 2881413) or another fuel stabilizer. Treating the system with Carbon Clean during the last few rides of the season ensures the entire fuel system is treated. Then, when it comes time to store the snowmobile, all the rider has to do is completely fill the tank with fresh fuel. Models affected by Safety Recall S-24-01 must use E10 fuel (10% ethanol). Patriot Boost, Patriot 9R and 600 INDY Cross Country models must use 91+ octane E10 fuel, and other affected models may use 87+ octane E10 fuel. All affected models must use the "Non-premium/Ethanol" fuel type mode only. For those who are unable to find the required ethanol fuel, we have created a Polaris Anti-Static Fuel Treatment & Stabilizer that can be added to non-ethanol recommended fuels to eliminate the electrostatic buildup in the fuel tank system to prevent ESD. To receive a bottle of the Polaris Anti-Static Fuel Treatment & Stabilizer you may complete the request form with your VIN and shipping information by navigating to www.polaris.com/en-us/s-24-01-additive/ or contact your local Polaris dealer with your VIN to pick up a free bottle from the dealership.

For information on selecting your fuel mode, read Snowmobile Fuel Type Selection. For models not affected, refer to your Owner’s Manual. Treat the new fuel with Carbon Clean.

Getting Your Snowmobile Ready to Ride
To prepare your fuel system for riding season, inspect the fuel system to verify that you have a completely full fuel tank. For information on selecting your fuel mode, read Snowmobile Fuel Type Selection

Using fuels other than E10 may increase the risk of electrostatic spark which could burst the fuel tank and may start a fire in fuel tank when the engine is running.

Never use E85 or 88 E15 fuel in your snowmobile as severe engine damage may occur.
