Whitney Roberts
State: Massachusetts
Snowmobile: 850 Switchback Assault
Favorite Place to Ride: Maine or Western Massachusetts
Whitney has been riding snowmobiles since she was a young girl, falling asleep in front of her father while they traveled the local trails in Western Massachusetts. For Whitney, the smell of 2 stroke brings back the nostalgia of the time she spent with her family as a child. She has always loved being on something with a motor growing up. Digging holes in the back yard with the backhoe, to riding the four-wheeler, dirt bike, and now motorcycles. The peace that riding brings is unlike any other, not only the view, but the experience is also none like any other. As Whitney grew up, she continuously did her best to ride as much as she could. She happened to be the only girl that was really interested in it. After school, she would meet the guys from town, and they would ride around the local trails. She continued to ride and upgrade her machines as she realized the passion that she had for the sport itself. Whitney enjoys trying new things within the sport, such as racing, and she did my very first hill climb. She especially love advocating for women participating in the sport, or the motorsports industry in general.
Whitney has been an active member of her snowmobile club and now SAM (Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts) delegate. She also tries to shed more light on riding snowmobiles in New England, but specifically like to shed light on the trail system in Massachusetts. Whitney initiated Hilltown’s attendance at her local SLEDMASS Sled Expo for the first time in years. She was asked to join SAM with the coming year's planning of the SledExpo. For Whitney, when isn't snowmobiling, she is thinking about it, or talking about it.
