Growing up, Shelley spent winter weekends snowmobiling with her dad and brother. After completing high school sports in 2012 Shelley began racing on the Rocky Mountain States Hillclimb Association (RMSHA) circuit and competing in the Jackson Hole World Championship Hillclimbs. Over the seven years Shelley hill climbed she earned multiple 1st place finishes, several queen of the hill titles, and a handful of year-end point championships. Shelley was voted RMSHA racer of the year in 2019. Shelley earned three World Championship titles in Jackson over her racing career and Queen of the Hill at the 2019 Jackson Hole World Championship Hillclimb. Shelley is one of the few women who have climbed up over the top of Snow King Mountain in Jackson. After she started growing her family her focus shifted to backcountry riding and promoting the sport and brand she loves.
