Snowmobile: Patriot Boost Pro RMK 155

Favorite Place to Ride: Logan Canyon

Many years ago, Melissa was introduced to snowmobiling when her husband purchased a pair of used sleds. He was so excited! His enthusiasm was contagious and off to the snow they went. After several rides, Melissa was still feeling uncomfortable, nervous, and cold. Often she would sit on the trail and wait while the others in the group would head off trail to find some fresh powder and she would question, “Are they ever coming back?” This was a serious problem when she couldn’t even start her sled. One day as the couple of friends were headed back out she was crying inside her helmet. Why is everyone else was having a blast and she was miserable? It was time to learn the sport or quit. At that moment she thought, “YOU CAN DO THIS…YOU’RE JUST CHOOSING NOT TO.”

Melissa is a Personal Trainer and loves the fitness industry. She loves to promote healthy living and active lifestyles. Being able to understand how the body works along with a sled has helped her develop some great teaching skills.

Now Melissa and her Husband of 29 years spend much of their lives snowmobiling. Melissa is determined to help beginners be successful on the snow. She is constantly connecting and teaching lady riders. She organizes several ladies rides each season and loves to see the excitement when somebody catches on to a technique for the first time. She spends half of the winter riding mountains in the Sierra Nevadas. Powder riding is for sure the favorite! Carving a trail of fresh tracks up a mountain is somewhat like heaven on earth. The other half of the winter she spends in Alaska. Her husband races the Irondog Snowmobile Race. She loves riding with him in training and cannot believe the vast landscapes there. You can ride your sled just about anywhere in Alaska it seems. To the glaciers, to the next town, up the river, through swamps, just be sure to pull over for the dog sled teams.

She is always the first to volunteer at every snowmobile event, loves to make new friends, and share her knowledge of both styles of riding. Melissa is passionate about Outdoor Adventure and you will find her almost always laughing and having a good time. She believes there is really no other way to experience winter better than on a snowmobile. Her advise to us all is, “SAY YES, TO ADVENTURES!”
