JOB SUMMARY: The Logistics Procurement Manager will be responsible for executing the annual procurement of all global logistics modes and services. This highly cross-functional role will be responsible for gathering requirements across all operations functions and business units, executing the procurement strategy, and communicating business results to internal parties. This position will be responsible for managing contract compliance, leading regular business reviews, managing KPIs, executing procurement to pay processes, and addressing deficiencies to ensure compliance with Polaris performance expectations.


  • Lead the execution of logistics services procurement for North American powersports, including truckload, warehousing, 3PL services, and dedicated services
  • Lead procurement team in daily procurement activities, identify and develop skillsets to improve business performance and career development
  • Manage annual logistics procurement spend, reporting variances and corrective actions to maintain business results
  • Develop and execute a carrier compliance program, identifying and driving performance discussions and carrier management. Execute strategies that continue to make Polaris a shipper of choice.
  • Research and report on changing market conditions, providing recommendations on cost forecasting and procurement strategies
  • Lead cross-functional interaction between Operations, Supply Chain, 3PL Management and Transportation Management to ensure stakeholder requirements are met.
  • Execute required strategies identified in changing network design, implementing consolidation locations, service provider changeover and new transportation services
  • Manage carrier accounts payable issues and invoice reviews, to include reporting and corrective actions to resolve aged invoices


  • Onboard and manage logistics suppliers and achieve individual and team goals.
  • Manage the total acquisition cost of assigned categories.
  • Prepare and solicit requests for quotes and proposals.
  • Perform research (supplier, industry, governmental and competitive intelligence) to develop knowledge and contribute to strategy development
  • Develop and maintain reliable logistics suppliers
  • Maintain sourcing and contract files, supporting modifications and amendments
  • Coordination and implementation of cost reduction projects
  • Monitor supplier performance and measure to a specific set of KPI
  • Ensure that on time communication, on time delivery, service, and reporting goals as outlined in supplier contracts are met.
  • Lead negotiations and problem resolution discussions with assigned suppliers and ensure the adequacy and timeliness of supplier corrective action plans when necessary


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field


  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing/supply chain required
  • 2-3 years previous experience leading high performing teams
  • Previous ocean and truckload purchasing for a manufacturer
  • Previous experience contracting with 3rd Party Warehouse and Logistics providers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlooks, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Excellent written and oral communicator
  • Ability to communicate financial and operational results to multiple audiences
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum level of supervision


  • Demonstrated negotiation, communication, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and effective in managing multiple priorities and deadlines, project management experience a plus
  • Proven strength in working effectively cross-functionally.
  • Ability to professionally represent Polaris by developing productive working relationships with suppliers
  • Consistent track record of solving problems, overcoming roadblocks, and improving processes


  • Fast-paced office environment.
  • Up to 15% travel may be required for site and supplier visits
