Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare machines for production operations per routings, work orders, production reports, etc.
  • Direct, including but not limited to, die and tool placement, material location, and first part approval process.
  • Assist machine operator(s) in trouble-shooting non-conformance issues.
  • Work in a safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Communicate safety rules and practices to all machine operators and employees involved in set-up and operations of machines.
  • Immediately report tool, die, or material non-conformance to Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Supervisor.
  • Accurately complete paperwork required for production records (labor reporting, move tickets, SPC charts, etc.).
  • Maintain a neat, clean orderly work area.
  • Complete company provided training.
  • Participate in PCI process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience, & Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of in-house machine set-up courses/attends further education courses as required.
  • Thorough knowledge of operations, mechanical functions and controls for all positions within assigned department required.
  • Ability to read and understand routings, work orders, and production reports.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • General machining experience.
  • CNC mill and lathe experience.
  • Navigation of computer programs; touch screens.
  • Schedule: Rotating schedule, alternate weekends.
  • Shift: 7:00am-7:00pm
