Polaris Recalls Some Model Year 2023 Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar And XP 1000 NorthStar Crew Vehicles

Polaris has determined that the center brake line on some Model Year 2023 Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar and XP 1000 NorthStar Crew vehicles may have been improperly installed. An improperly installed center brake line may cause the rear brake circuit to remain pressurized during operation, resulting in overheated brakes and reduced braking performance, posing a fire and crash hazard and risk of serious injury.

Number of affected vehicles: approximately 1,070 units globally

Number of incidents: Polaris has identified one report of fire and three reports of kinked brake lines. Polaris is not aware of any reports of injury associated with the reported concern.

Consumers should immediately stop using the impacted units and contact a Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair. DO NOT attempt any repairs yourself.

Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners directly.
