Polaris Recalls Some Model Year 2027 RANGER XP 1000 Vehicles

Polaris has determined that some Model Year 2027 RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar and RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar Crew vehicles may have been built with lower seat belt anchor fasteners that were not properly torqued, which could result in the seat belt separating from the anchor point, posing a potential injury hazard to consumers.

Number of affected vehicles: 8 registered units in the U.S.

Number of incidents: Polaris has identified three vehicles with loose seat belt anchor fasteners. Polaris has not identified any reports of personal injury associated with this concern.

Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners directly.

Polaris will provide impacted consumers with instructions on how to inspect their vehicles. This inspection can be performed by the consumer and may avoid a visit to a dealership.

Impacted consumers should follow the Seat Belt Fastener Verification Instructions. You can find those instructions here. If the inspection confirms that all the fasteners are tight a consumer may continue to operate their vehicle and should report completion of the inspection to Polaris so the recall can be closed out.

If any fasteners are found to be loose, do not operate your vehicle.  Contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair. Do not attempt any repairs yourself.

Consumers who do not feel comfortable performing the inspection should stop riding their vehicles until it is repaired by an authorized Polaris dealer.
