Polaris Issues Stop Ride for Some 2019 RZR XP Turbo Vehicles

Polaris has issued a recall and safety bulletin for some 2019 RZR XP / XP 4 Turbo / Turbo S / Turbo S Velocity vehicles. Polaris has determined that on some of these off-road vehicles, the clutch inlet duct covers used as an aid during manufacturing may not have been removed prior to shipment, potentially resulting in a fire hazard.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles until the vehicles have been inspected and, if necessary, serviced in accordance with the applicable safety bulletin. Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting affected registered owners by mail and, if available, by email. Consumer should contact a Polaris dealer to schedule service. Polaris has reported this issue to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Number of affected U.S. vehicles: About 2,900

Number of incidents: Five reported incidents, no reported injuries.
