We have a great opportunity for a talented engineer to join our off-road vehicle (ORV) team as a Development Engineer. Based out of our Wyoming facility you will partner with the product validation teams to develop laboratory-based tests methods.  that meet Reliability targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Lead the development and implementation of laboratory testing, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Powertrain systems.

Ensure test correlation to product-specific duty cycles and Reliability targets.

Provide summaries of test cycles including details of events, comparison to typical consumer usage, and acceleration factors for components and systems.

Identify systems and components that that are being undertested and work to develop lab test solutions.

Create procedures to document the development process.

Specify and procure new test equipment.

Train and mentor others in testing methodologies.

Must be willing to travel periodically

Maintain a clean, safe work area and meet OSHA requirements.

Ability to present self professionally and work with people outside of Polaris.

Maintain strict confidentiality.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

B.S in Mechanical Engineering or Related

Hands-on knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems and problem-solving

Experience with data collection and data processing

Reliability principles and their application to testing

Valid driver's license required

Must be capable of operating ORVs in extreme conditions

Must be capable of driving a truck with trailers (<26,000 pounds GVW)

Must be capable of operating forklifts

Powersports experience preferred
