2025 9R Switchback Assault Orientation

This video is meant to familiarize the rider with the location of information and components on a 9R Switchback Assault snowmobile.

Note that some features and accessories shown may not be present on all models and may not represent production vehicles.


This video looks at the:

  • 0:25 Front of the sled (headlights, hood, front bumper, nose pan, two side panels)
  • 0:35 Components behind the left-side panel (oil injection reservoir, clutch spreader tool, clutch assembly, spark plug socket, spare belt holder, spark plug holder on the back of the belt holder, fuse panel)
  • 0:56 Components behind the right-side panel (headlight adjustment, coolant overflow bottle, brake system, battery, if equipped, exhaust silencer, chaincase chain adjustment)
  • 1:14 Right footwell (battery charge port, chaincase fill plug)
  • 1:21 Front suspension (shock assembly, control arms, tie rods, sway bar and links, spindles, ski rubbers, skis, skags underneath the skis)
  • 1:44 Console (7S Display powered by RIDE COMMAND, storage compartment behind the display, USB plug inside the storage compartment, V2V antenna)
  • 1:58 Left handlebar (handguards, if equipped, brake lever, parking brake, brake reservoir, back button, navigation buttons, select button, headlight dimmer button, heated grips control, Polaris electronic reverse control)
  • 2:25 Right handlebar (engine stop switch, throttle lever) Note: The handlebars can be adjusted by loosening the four fasteners in the center.
  • 2:36 Below the handlebar (12-volt RCA power plug, key switch, intake screens, fuel cap, recoil handle)
  • 2:51 Underneath the operator seat (storage compartment equipped with accessory driver seat heater and passenger power plugs)
  • 3:00 Rear suspension (front limiter strap, rail slide, front track shock, rear track shock, rear grease zerks, torsion spring adjustment, rear idler wheels, rear idler adjustment)
  • 3:22 Rear of the sled (rear slots for accessories, taillight, rear bumper, snow flap)
  • 3:32 Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) locations
