Top model, missing the cool factor
I have always liked Polaris, and after taking out my friends XP1000 Trail Edition, I had to have one. I wanted and drove 5 hours, 10 hours round trip, to pick up my new XP1000 S. Once I got it home, I started to find little disappointing things that I thought the best sportsman available should have had: like a rear bumper. This was standard on the XP1000 Trail Edition, as well as LED lights!? Why is this the case? Customer Service had granted me a rear bumper and I got one that was supposed to fit, but didn’t (the S has a centred exhaust, the others do not) so now I have an anchor. And the LED lights were infuriating. Thats like buying a Cadillac CTSV and when it arrives it has cloth interior. At first, the difference in price seemed like an ok deal for all the suspension and exhaust upgrades etc, but once you add up what it doesn’t have over the Trail Edition, Its not that great a deal afterall. With the difference in cost then adding the rear bumper and LED lights, I should have bought a Trail Edition with tons more upgrades and I could have put over a grand back in my pocket and had a far cooler bike. The Top Dog should need no introduction, and certainly should be complete. Now my 2020 looks like a done up 2018, rather than getting the attention it deserves for all the work you guys put into it, and what I paid for. Anyway, that is my review.
