The following is a copy of the R-24-06 Consumer Email issued on 12/12/2024. Vehicles affected by this bulletin will receive notification by mail to the address the vehicle is registered to.
Dear Polaris Owner,
As previously mentioned, Polaris has determined that the exterior door handle actuators on some Model Year 2024-2025 Ranger XD 1500 and Crew XD 1500 vehicles may stick and cause the door to unexpectedly open while the vehicle is moving and cause an unrestrained rider to fall out of the vehicle or increase the risk of a crash, posing a risk of serious injury.
Our records indicate that you are the owner of a RANGER affected by R-24-06.
A repair solution is now available. To address this concern, Polaris has authorized your dealer to replace the door actuators and inspect the door handle for proper operation. This work will be performed by your dealer at no cost to you.
To get your vehicle repaired, contact your authorized Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment to have the repairs performed. Do not attempt repairs yourself. Repairs must be done only by an authorized Polaris dealer. This repair should take approximately 2 hours. When making contact with your dealer, discuss parts availability, their schedule and how long them will need to keep your vehicle.
Your safety is a top priority for us; however, we realize this safety notice is an unwanted disruption in your ownership journey. To demonstrate our commitment to you and account for this inconvenience, you will receive a $100 voucher for Polaris parts, garments, and accessories upon completion of the repair by a Polaris-authorized dealer.
Coupons will be automatically sent to you via email following the Safety Notice repair, and are redeemable online (Polaris.com) or at an authorized Polaris dealership. Note the repair must be completed by May 31, 2025 to qualify for the coupon.
