JOB SUMMARY:
Control Engineer have primary responsibility for the design, setup, programming, testing, and implementation of PLC control systems used for production automation and industrial equipment. This position responsibilities include production machine maintenance and coordinate with others to meet safety, quality, OEE target.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Architect, design, code, test, and maintain complex PLC software applications.
• Develop detailed software design specifications for assigned projects.
• HMI development and design to optimize data exchange and general system usability.
• In charge of communicate between PLC-Kepware – Pinpoint to connect machine equipment to Pinpoint system.
• Responsible for troubleshooting equipment and validating the control systems to ensure reliability in operating environments.
• Establish and execute the preventive maintenance program for tooling, machines & assembly lines. Implement the periodic maintenance.
• Be responsible in implementation of CI and improvement activities to ensure production operation & cost are meet requirement.
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
• BS/MS in Automation, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of direct experience as a controls engineer working on automated processes/system integration in manufacturing environments.
• Advanced proficiency in programming industrial process and manufacturing equipment: PLCs and HMI
• Expert at PLC programming of Siemens and Rockwell PLCs (Allen Bradley is a plus)
• Have experience on communication between PLC- Kepware- Pinpoint MES is a plus
• Have experience on C++ and python is a plus
• Familiarity with Ethernet/IP and basic networking applications and practices
• Have experience on machine, equipment maintenance is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
