
Sr. Financial Analyst, Off Road Vehicles

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key business partner to the Off-Road Engineering teams & Business Unit partners. They will guide accurate and timely reporting while identifying risks and opportunities within the portfolio as well as mitigation plans. They will serve as the subject matter expert for Engineering Finance to the respective Global BUs and drive cost transparency. This role will partner cross-functionally in continuous improvement initiatives in the Engineering organization, driving improvements in the processes, systems, planning, reporting and Value Improvement Process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Become an integral part of the Off Road Engineering teams
Own monthly close process, reconciliation, variance analysis and journal entries for Engineering
Lead the process and consolidation of annual Long Range Product Plan, budget and quarterly forecasts throughout the year.
Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan
Develop efficient methods for extracting and analyzing data. Maintain and develop various financial models for research, resolution, and decision making often with ambiguous guideline
Identify risks & opportunities within the Engineering plan
Key member in working with functional team members to identify opportunities and provide input to improve as appropriate.
Work closely to develop partnerships and collaborate with other GBU’s to share best practices, problem solve, and align on accounting practices. Work to understand the various aspects of the business and the impacts on financial performance.
Subject matter expert for Engineering Program financial tool - Portfolio Management (PPM).
Identifies and drive quality and continuous improvement in tools and processes.
Maintain, develop and adhere to accounting and financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
4 - 6 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required
Strong analytical and communication skills, detail and deadline orientated
Must have the ability to handle pressure & manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
Extensive experience in various (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Microsoft tools & PowerBI required; Alteryx, Onestream, MAPICS, and other query tool experience a plus.
Demonstrated success developing tools to improve financial analysis and financial system added value to the functional group.
Successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills with previous experience working with senior management on a routine basis.
Proven experience working with and influencing cross functional teams
