The Supply Chain Execution team will work cross-functionally to collaborate and communicate daily with the Supply Chain Risk Management teams. This team will help to execute countermeasures identified by Supply Chain Risk Management teams to deliver strong performance to Build and Ship SIOP, Financial Forecasts and Cost, Quality and Delivery metrics. 

The Supply Chain Execution Team Senior Logistics Analyst will ensure effective and timely execution of Inbound logistics. This candidate is responsible for coordination of critical parts expedites, ensuring timely pickup and ensures adequate support for suppliers to deliver components. This highly cross-functional role will work closely with sourcing, logistics, plant operations, and third-party logistics providers to ensure consistent and accurate part supply to Polaris requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as main point of contact and liaison for Supply Chain Risk Management team.
  • Plan, scope, and coordinate the freight operations for shipments.
  • Identify, plan, and execute cost down opportunities for supplier initiatives
  • Work to maintain specified Inbound service levels
  • Create and analyze operational reports to drive and monitor execution and metrics.
  • Communicate externally with suppliers to create operational plans to ensure monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Provide superior customer service, internal and external, communicate clearly and proactively.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to develop solutions.
  • Partner with Sourcing team on new volume implementation, onboarding, and planning.
  • Provide reverse logistics support to maintain flow of returnable parts required at suppliers.
  • Work on special projects as identified.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business-related discipline required
  • 5+ years in transportation related role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent analytical skills specific to Logistics. 
  • Ability to identify root cause of cost and service issues, and plan and execute mitigation or recovery strategies.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills and effective problem-solver.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to work with large data sets, analyze and prepare solutions.
  • Experience Process Mapping and Lean/Six Sigma knowledge.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced, dynamic culture in office or remote environment
  • Up to 20% travel throughout the year, both domestic and international
