Job Summary

Collaborate with and support the Vice President Investor Relations in developing and executing the IR strategy, operating plans, budget, and global IR program. The primary operating objective of the Investor Relations (IR) program is to educate and update investors and security analysts about the company to achieve a fair relative stock price. This individual also supports corporate finance in a capacity to support monthly reporting, external reporting, ad hoc analysis and FP&A. This role reports directly to the Vice President IR.

Responsibilities

  • Performs support, analysis, and creation of recommendations for the company’s disclosure policy and the Disclosure Policy Group, which consists of the CEO, CFO, General Counsel, and the IRO.  Maintains the record of information disclosed by the company to outside investors/analysts.

  • Assists in the data collection, analysis, writing and editing, and production of publications and releases used in the IR program including drafting quarterly earnings, presentations and other news releases and SEC filings as required.

  • Helps lead the annual budgeting process for IR and leads monthly budgeting meetings.

  • Provides day-to-day support of the IR function by managing relationships with buy-side and sell-side stakeholders.

  • Frequently interacts with other departments; builds and maintains strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders within finance, legal, corporate communications, operations, and product groups.  Collaborates across departments to ensure a consistent corporate image is presented to analysts, institutional investors, individual shareholders, media and all external parties.

  • Conducts financial analysis utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, Factset and other systems to prepare and maintain reports and charts, and monitor, track and analyze data, including: Stock price performance and total return for company and peers, Analyst estimates, target prices and ratings, Valuation, Shareholder ownership, Peer benchmarking, Short interest, Company sales, gross profit, etc., Market share

  • Manages the consensus model, which incorporates analyst models post quarterly updates and provides feedback to the VP IR and senior management. Reports inconsistencies within models and analyzes moving piece to help ensure accuracy in reporting and within the framework of guidance where appropriate.

  • Monitors and analyzes stock market activity, share price performance, industry trends, and research reports for Polaris and company peers.

  • Pulls financials from OneStream to ensure one source of data throughout IR and other corporate functions.

  • Assists Corporate FP&A with quarter-close reporting and analysis responsibilities along with ad hoc projects.

  • Develops presentations and investor relations collateral material as requested for board meetings, earnings release, investor meetings and conferences, corporate meetings and other strategic initiatives.

  • Maintains Corporate Profile presentation.

  • Collaborates with teams across the organization to ensure accuracy of data: Legal, Comms, GBUs, Marketing and Finance.

  • Collaborates with IR team on bi-annual IR Newsletter. Includes brainstorming topics, interviews, writing stories.

  • Prepares press releases for earnings conference calls, dividends, conference presentations and other IR related events.

  • Prepares monthly CDK data for distribution.

  • Review public facing documents for accuracy and Polaris brand: Annual Report, scripts, press releases, presentations, newsletter.

  • Actively participate in buy-side and sell-side calls. Provides follow-up and support for a variety of financial questions

  • Provides assistance to other departments as required and as it pertains to the IR function.

  • Maintain Activism Defense Plan.

  • Stay current with IR industry trends and continually improve existing processes.

  • Performs miscellaneous projects as assigned.

Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in Investor Relations, finance, or treasury positions for a public company or a consulting agency.

  • 4-year college degree preferred.

  • Strong financial and investment analysis skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability.

  • An understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its stock.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience working with Factset, OneStream and Alteryx preferred.

  • An energetic, efficient, and resourceful team player and individual contributor.

  • Exhibits strong professionalism.
