Jolene Van Vugt

Jolene Van Vugt, is an action sports athlete turned stuntwoman. Jolene grew up racing motocross since the age of 11, she is the first CMRC Women’s Canadian Motocross National Champion and earned a lifetime number in the WMA Pro class (Women’s Motocross Association) she later went on to compete at X Games in women’s Supercross and EnduroX.

Wanting nothing more than to find a way to make a living riding motorcycles for the rest of her life, it was being at the right place at the right time with the will, drive, durability and talent to pull of the first female backflip a full-sized dirt bike when approach by Travis Pastrana in the beginning years of Nitro Circus. Nitro Circus would lead her down an amazing, unique path for 12 years. Action sports DVD’s, tv shows, a 3D movie, a massive live action sports tour, multiple Guinness World Records and female first. All creating a world where she was able to make a living on 2-wheels and so much more!

It was through this world she was noticed by another, as a kid Jolene also dreamed of one day being a Hollywood stuntwoman. So in 2011 when Hollywood actually came knocking she jumped at the opportunity to get her foot in the door and audition for the stunt doubling role of a lifetime. Doubling Anne Hathaway as Catwoman on the Batpod, in the third installment of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy Dark Knight Rises was everything Jolene ever dream of.

Throughout her years in the Nitro Circus faced with many playful challenges behind the wheel of cars, trucks and contraptions on top of that an introduction to RZR’s in 2015 with Terracross and the opportunity to race best in the desert for 2 seasons on the Polaris Star Car Team. Jolene’s love, passion and talent for 4 wheels has grown to rival that of 2 wheels and has leant well to her stunt career.

Now working as a stuntwoman in movies, tv shows and commercials. Jolene is living out the life she set in play for herself as a kid. Finding time between jobs to live out the adventurous lifestyle that takes her to the trails regularly and continually exploring and keeping a smile on her face and in her heart.
