JOB SUMMARY:

Polaris Industries Inc. is a global leader with more than 30 brands and multiple services responsible for the company’s growth into a major influencer on Powersports and expansion into commercial, military, and electric vehicles. We are seeking, an IT Software Engineer (ALM Codebeamer and .Net developer) to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. As a Codebeamer and .Net developer on the Polaris team, you can work on the development projects in the Codebeamer and Codebeamer Integration with various Engineering applications including .Net (in-house), Windchill, and other engineering applications in the PLM/ALM/Engineering group within the Digital & Information Technology function. The developer needs to understand the business and functional requirements of the projects and develop code to meet those requirements. The selected developer helps ensure code quality, performance, reusability, scalability, and supportability of the capabilities developed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the customizations and Integrations with other engineering applications on Codebeamer.
  • Upgrade and test customizations and Integrations for planned Codebeamer upgrade releases.
  • Work with Product Owners, Leads, System Analysts, and Senior Developers to understand business and functional requirements.
  • Guide users and other IT staff on Codebeamer customizations/integrations
  • Handle the helpdesk and support the users for the tickets on CodeBeamer Integration with engineering applications such as Windchill, in-house.Net applications, JIRA, and others
  • Adopt best practices on software development processes and ensure that quality software engineering processes and methodologies are followed.
  • Perform installation and configuration of CodeBeamer software and database, testing of system functionalities and business processes, data migration and deployment
  • Assist in project implementation and development of project plans, specification documents, and test plans
  • Document test cases and perform systems and acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot production issues (if any) when projects are released
  • Attend and participate in project and administrative meetings

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Experience and working knowledge of CodeBeamer customizations and integrations with engineering applications (e.g. Net application with Azure DevOps, PTC application suites, MathWorks, etc.…)
  • Familiar with Java, JavaScript, XML, and HTML in .Net environment.
  • Experience with REST API (.NET and Java), Codebeamer Listener, Wiki, and Dashboard APIs
  • Proficiency with standards for integration of Codebeamer and PTC tool suites, other engineering systems, Postgres, Codebeamer Reporting, and other reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Experience with other related tools such as PTC Integrity, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and ALM Quality Center is preferable
  • Providing Codebeamer application integration support for application runtime issues, integration troubleshooting, and other requests as needed
  • Resolve Codebeamer ALM technical issues primarily by working with the project team and end users as primary contact.
  • Knowledge of Codebeamer integrations with Windchill, JIRA, MathWorks, and others
  • Understanding of business and stakeholders' needs and building solutions collaboratively with the global IT support team
  • Assisting in the design, implementation, and deployment of new projects using existing project templates

OTHER SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent in Information Technology/Computer Science
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in CodeBeamer application integration and operational support
  • Flexibility to support during weekends as required for patch updates and deployments
  • Self-directed with excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Ability to look beyond solving the business problem to see things like monitoring, logging, and performance to be standard
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments
  • Working knowledge of Agile Methodology and experience using JIRA or similar Agile tools.
  • Good team player with flexibility on working hours to collaborate with counterparts
