JOB SUMMARY:
Assist in installation, alterations/modifications, and maintenance of facility’s systems and equipment. The schedule for this position is Noon-10:30PM, Sat - Tues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide maintenance support for third shift operations, including but not limited to repairs and PMs for dock equipment, forklift, conveyors, paint systems, AGCs and other duties necessary to support Spirit Lake operations.
- Carry out specific assignments as directed by the Maintenance Work Order system and Supervisor’s instructions.
- Install new equipment or work with outside vendors on installation.
- Make required alterations/modifications to equipment and systems.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining maintenance standards and procedures.
- Perform maintenance projects as assigned.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required; “on-call” duty may be required over holidays and weekends.
- Work in a safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area in compliance with 5-Pillar Standards.
- Complete company-provided training.
- Participate in the PCI process.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree such as electrical or mechanical maintenance strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years previous maintenance experience required for entry-level positions.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required; “on-call” duty may be required over holidays and weekends.
- Ability to work well with little supervision.
