JOB OPPORTUNITY/DESCRIPTION
Title: Field Performance Engineer - Electrical Engineer Department: ORV
Reports To: Engineering Manager Location: Bangalore
JOB SUMMARY:
We have an exciting role available with our Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) team. In this role, you will
lead teams to determine the root cause of emerging quality issues in electrical systems. We
need a talented, collaborative, and customer-focused engineer that has demonstrated
capabilities with problem-solving tracking tools and methods. You will work with the design and
production release teams to develop countermeasures for quality improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Be action oriented and hands-on, using problem-solving processes to lead or support scope, root
cause, consequence, and solution implementation of potential quality issues in electrical
systems
Partner with adjacent functions (manufacturing, post-sales surveillance, supplier quality, etc.) to
drive and deliver timely corrective actions
Use CAPAs to drive corrective actions that will apply learnings across the organization
Work with cross-functional teams to identify potential product safety issues that require
additional focus
Work with project teams to define project goals and system specifications
Organize and lead design reviews to ensure adequate input and involvement from all
engineering and functional groups
Monitor current data sources to identify trends that require attention
Develop processes/standards for continuous improvement as needed
Ensure all learnings are communicated to the peer team and captured in technical
documentation i.e. Design Standards, FMEAs, RAVE and DVP&Rs
Support other initiatives that relate to product safety & quality
Benchmark competitive designs
SKILLS & KNOWLDGE
B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering required
5+ years of Engineering, Product, and Technology Development experience required
Experience writing, developing, and managing system and component level requirements
Experience with functional safety standards methodologies & concepts
Analog and digital circuit analysis and design
Experience with quality tools such as FTA, DFMEA
Passion or strong interest in Off-Road vehicles
Quality and customer-focused
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team
members and work cross functionally with the larger organization – proficient in English
Preferred Skills:
Experience in full product lifecycle for electrical and electronic control systems
Familiarity with worldwide requirements, regulations, and compliance standards to guide the
development of internal requirements for the off-road market
Familiarity with CAN tools such as CANalyzer or ETAS INCA
Must be able to effectively lead cross-functional teams, both internally and externally
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization including senior leadership
Working Conditions:
Flexible hours may be required to participate in meetings with global team
Frequent exposure to, and participation in, field and shop fabrication, testing, and development
work within the product lines
Travel as needed (approx. up to 10%) for product research, development, and consumer facing
opportunities
