                JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist will be responsible for administering the company’s duty drawback, reconciliation, and other duty saving and management programs. The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist will execute the preparation of claims and filings, track progress, maintain appropriate records, and report on results. This position is responsible for the Trade Compliance team’s efforts to ensure Polaris's processes, internal controls, and reporting are compliant with US Customs laws and regulations.


  • Retrieve and synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources
  • Obtain and review import and export documentation ensuring compliant authentication of claims
  • Process and prepare all appropriate data and documentation for submission to U.S. Customs
  • Track all claims and filings, associated recoveries/payments, and liquidations
  • Create schedules and associated project plans to balance work flow throughout the year
  • Maintain compliant and user-friendly recordkeeping to support all claims and filings
  • Develop and maintain procedures related to duty drawback and reconciliation
  • Report results for each round of claims/filings; maintain historical results
  • Identify and implement additional duty saving programs
  • Other duties as assigned to support the company’s global trade compliance programs


  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 4+ years work experience in trade compliance, supply chain, manufacturing, international logistics or inventory management 
  • Understanding of import and customs processes and regulations
  • Experience in US CBP regulations and compliance is a plus – previous experience working in either a customs brokerage or large importers’ compliance department is preferred

  • Must be able to effectively communicate complex compliance issues to non-trade audience, internally and externally
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence others through demonstrated expertise.
  • MS Office proficiency, advanced Excel skills
