To order paint that matches your snowmobile, you must bring the paint code to your Polaris Dealer. Paint must be ordered at a dealer.
To find the paint code, go to the online parts catalog.
For example, let’s find paint that matches the black nosepan on this 2018 800 Switchback Pro-S.
Enter the information for the snowmobile you wish to find the paint code for. You can do this manually, by logging in to your Polaris account or by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in the "Find What Fits Your Vehicle" menu.
For this example, we'll select “Snowmobile,” “2018” and “800 Switchback Pro-S” from the drop-down menus on the parts catalog page. Scroll down to select SHOP SERVICE PARTS.
Scroll down to FENDERS AND NOSEPAN ASSEMBLY under the Body section.
The diagram for that assembly shows that you’re looking for part 10.
Scroll down to the parts listings and No. 10 is the nosepan. Note that there are two listings for No. 10 because not all 800 Switchback Pro-S models have the same color scheme. Here there is a black nosepan and a white nosepan. We’re looking for a black nosepan, so we know we want part number 2635042-070. The paint code is“070.” Take that paint code to your local Polaris Dealer. To find a dealer near you, use the Dealer Locator. Your dealer can verify that 070 is the paint code for Gloss Black and help you order the proper paint.
Paint codes will be three or four digits. If you’re looking for only one of the two colors in a two-tone paint scheme, your dealer can find the correct paint when provided with the four-digit code and your VIN.
You will have the option of choosing aerosol cans, quart paint or a touch-up bottle. Your dealer can help you choose the right option for the type of painting you’re planning on doing.
