Dear Polaris Customer,
We regret to inform you that 509® for Polaris has issued a recall on Tactical 3.0 helmets. Our records indicate that you own an affected Tactical 3.0 helmet. Please stop using the Tactical 3.0 helmet immediately.
509® has determined that 509® Tactical 3.0 helmets and 509® for Polaris Tactical 3.0 helmets (Youth, Mountain, and Trail helmets) fail to comply with some marked certification standards and may not provide sufficient protection in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury. Our records show you have purchased an affected product. Polaris has informed the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) about the issue.
Owner Next Steps:
- Please stop using the Tactical 3.0 helmet immediately.
- Verify your helmet is affected. If affected, cut off both chin straps and take required photo as instructed in the Affected Helmet Identification & Recall Procedure. Note: Owners of affected Tactical 3.0 helmets that do not have Polaris logos/branding should contact 509® directly. Please see ride509.com for more information.
- Contact our Polaris Owner Connections Department at 1-800-765-2747 to speak with a representative for further instructions on a refund, credit, or helmet replacement.
- If you no longer own this product, please contact Polaris and forward a copy of this notice to the current owner of the product, if known.
