The following is a copy of the Z-22-08 Consumer Letter issued on 2/15/2023 Vehicles affected by this bulletin will receive notification by mail to the address the vehicle is registered to.
Dear Polaris Owner,
Polaris has determined that some Model Year 2021-2022 RZR Pro XP 4 vehicles may develop a fuel leak at the fuel pump assembly joint on the fuel tank. The potential leak area is in close proximity to a hot surface, posing a fire hazard and risk of serious injury. Our records show you have purchased an affected vehicle. Polaris has informed the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission about this issue.
What you should do:
Immediately stop using the vehicle. Contact your authorized Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment to have the repairs performed. Do not attempt repairs yourself. Repairs must be done only by an authorized Polaris dealer. Today, we are sharing that a repair solution is available. While repair kits are
still limited, we are working with our supplier to quickly build up stock and are expediting kits weekly to dealers once we receive shipments. Our focus is on getting the needed parts into the hands of dealers as soon as possible, so they can schedule service appointments for impacted owners.
DO NOT OPERATE YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL THIS SAFETY RECALL HAS BEEN COMPLETED BY YOUR DEALER.
What your dealership will do:
To address this concern, Polaris has authorized your dealer to install a new fuel tank. This work will be performed by your dealer at no cost to you. This notice was mailed to you according to our most current registration information. If you no longer own this vehicle, or if some of the contact information in this notice is incorrect, please contact your dealer to complete a transfer of ownership. Federal law requires that any vehicle lessor receiving this notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee within 10 working days after the day on which the notice is received.
If you need assistance contacting or locating a Polaris dealer, or if you have questions your Polaris dealer is not able to address, contact our Polaris Owner Connections Department at 1-800-POLARIS (765-2747), or go to https://www.polaris.com/en-us/self-help/.
