Polaris Hillclimbers Sweep Stock Titles at Jackson Hole World Championship

Minneapolis, MN (March 27, 2017) – Polaris snowmobile hillclimbers on AXYS® RMK® sleds dominated the World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb at Jackson Hole, Wyo., winning all four Pro Stock classes, filling 19 of 36 Pro podium spots and earning four King of the Hill titles. Polaris Racer Keith Curtis led the way, winning two Pro classes, the Stock and Mod King of the Hill crowns and the event’s ultimate honor, King of Kings.

In four Rocky Mountain States Hillclimb Assn. (RMSHA) hillclimbs so far this season, Polaris racers have won all 16 Pro Stock classes and they have claimed 41 of 48 available Stock podium spots.

The Jackson Hole event is annually the most prestigious event on the RMSHA schedule. This year’s racecourse on Snow King mountain overlooking downtown Jackson Hole was so demanding that some classes were won by high marks as racers were unable to reach the summit.

Polaris Pro racers dominated the Stock classes by claiming 10 of 12 available podium spots and winning all four classes. Kyle Heap won 600 Stock, Andy Thomas won 700, Luke Rainey won 800 and Curtis won 1000 Stock.

Rainey reached the podium three times, and four Polaris racers earned two podium spots: Kyle Heap, Dolan Phelps, Andy Thomas and Erin Beukelman.

Storm Johnson won the Semi-Pro Improved Stock and Mod classes and the Semi-Pro King of the Hill crown. Colton McCallum won the Semi-Pro Stock Class.

In snow bike racing, Brock Hoyer won the Snow Bike Class title on a Polaris Timbersled and went on to win Snow Bike King of the Hill.

Next up on the RMSHA schedule is the Grand Junction (Colo.) Hillclimb, April 8-9, at Powderhorn Mountain Resort.
