To change the demand drive or front gearcase fluid on your Pro XD Full-Size Kinetic, follow these steps:
1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface, ensure it is in PARK and remove the key.
2. If needed, remove the front tire with a 19mm socket with a breaker bar on the passenger’s side for ease of access and support the vehicle securely with a jackstand.
3. Place a drain pan under the drain plug on the bottom right-hand side. Tip: Placing a rag in the bottom of the drain pan will help prevent the splashing of fluid.
4. Clean the area around the fill plug.
5. Remove the fill plug with a 8mm Allen socket and set aside.
6. Move underneath the vehicle and locate the drain plug through the hole in the skid plate.
7. Clean the area around the drain plug.
8. Remove the drain plug with a 8mm Allen socket and allow the fluid to drain completely.
9. Clean any dirt or debris from the fill and drain plugs.
10. Inspect the O-rings on both plugs and replace, if necessary.
11. Reinstall the drain plug, and torque to 11 ft-lbs (15 Nm).
12. Clean any residual fluid around the drain plug.
13. Add the recommended fluid to the bottom of the fill plug hole. Do NOT overfill. The demand drive capacity is 6.8 oz (200 mL). The recommended fluid is Demand Drive Fluid, part number 2877922 for one quart (0.95 L).
14. Reinstall the fill plug, and torque to 8-10 ft-lbs (11-13.6 Nm).
15. Clean any residual fluid off the vehicle and inspect for leaks.
16. Dispose of the used fluid properly at your local recycling center.
17. If previously removed, reinstall the front passenger wheel, and torque to 120 ft-lbs (163 Nm).
