We have an exciting opportunity for a Thermal Development Technician to join our off-road vehicle (ORV) group. As a member of our research and development team, you will work on new product development and current product validation. In addition, you will perform tests to optimize system architecture and verify vehicle specifications are met. You will work to ensure that the final product package is optimized to exceed the customer's expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Vehicle and system based Thermal research, development, and validation
2.Vehicle and part instrumentation
3.Conduct tests in lab, field, or dyno settings while maintaining data accuracy
4.Keep good records and write test reports for tests conducted
5.Protype and fabrication of development parts
6.Evaluate new system technologies
7.Benchmarking Competitive vehicle components and systems
8.Maintain strict confidentiality
9.Maintain a clean, safe work area and meet OSHA requirements
10.Good self-starter, willing to work overtime as needed
11.Must be willing to travel periodically to do product evaluation and development
12.Able to communicate professionally and drive project to timely completion
13.Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
1.High school diploma required
2.2-Year degree in technical field preferred
3.Minimum 3 years mechanic or technician experience preferred
4.Strong mechanical aptitude required
5.Fabrication and welding experience preferred
6.Powersports experience preferred
7.Must be capable of operating ORVs in extreme conditions
8.Data acquisition and diagnostic tool experience preferred
9.Basic computer skills required
10.Valid drivers license required
11.Must be capable of driving trucks with trailers (<26,000 GCVR)
12.Must be capable of operating forklifts
