
Torque Specialist-Line 4- 2nd Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for supporting production lines on all tool related issues
2. Conduct daily torque audits per schedule on A, B and C class joints, comply with static audit procedures
3. Maintain preventive maintenance on all production tools
4. Manage and comply with scheduled calibration program for production tools
5. Verify production process against QAT torque software
6. Maintain proper labeling for all production tooling
7. Adhere to safety and ergonomics when establishing, setting, adjusting and replacing tools
8. Assist M.E and Q.E with pilot build schedule, establishing/purchasing proper tools and creating a torque document for each model
9. Conduct torque to failure studies and joint analysis per Engineering and QA requests
10. Assist production with other duties such as RMO support, sorting, inspection, and troubleshooting
11. Maintain database for all torque equipment and on line applications
12. Assist with support of rework by providing tools and auditing of process
13. Ensure operators are properly trained on how to use tools and comply with sign off verification sheet
14. Communicate with multiple tool suppliers
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
1. High school diploma or GED equivalency required. AA degree in a technical field preferred.
2. 3-5 years manufacturing experience required.
3. Candidate must have strong knowledge of computers and the ability to troubleshoot processes, products and tool issues.
4. Able to be flexible to meet production, quality and engineering needs
5. Capable of performing torque auditor duties across all lines.
6. Understanding of torque concepts, torque monitoring equipment, pneumatic and electric tools.
7. Good organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
8. Ability to work with minimal supervision, possess strong problem solving skills and make sound decisions.
9. Ability to multitask is essential
10. Candidate must possess strong people skills and must be able to work with others to solve issues.
