JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Project Manager is to plan, direct and monitor assigned project activities within Premier OEM to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and to meet the targeted production KPI’s and quality standards.  The ideal candidate is passionate about project management and enjoys collaboration to drive a project from start to finish using the application of project management/continuous improvement best practices.  This person also enjoys taking complex problems and determining what project management approach to apply in order to gain team and stakeholder alignment in executing the solution. Success in the role requires balancing project timelines and expectations that utilizes Premier OEM’s capabilities driving the holistic strategy to profit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage assigned projects utilizing all functional and operational areas to understand current and future needs and develop plans, cost estimates and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities
  • Work closely with other Project Management Leaders, Program Managers, Portfolio Manager, and other sponsors/stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are successfully completed 
  • Define and track metrics. Regularly communicate and report out on project status and key milestones
  • Identify & resolve/escalate project issues/risks to minimize impact to schedule and/or budget.  Identify potential solutions to resource constraints within and between projects.  Drive prioritization discussions
  • Lead all development activities for your projects, including presentations to the executive committee, preparing the budget for operations and capital expenditures, as well as setting the development schedule
  • Integrate deep product/project knowledge, insight, and intimacy into the Premier business planning and forecasting processes - product roadmap, pricing decisions, and market potential
  • Facilitate identification and sharing of lessons learned & best practices across teams
  • Serve as subject matter expert for other Project Management Leaders 
  • Assist with customer needs, orders, schedules as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical and computer engineering, business administration or another related field with an emphasis in project management or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience
  • A recognized certification in project management (PMP, ACP, PSM, etc.) would be an asset
  • Proven track record of achieving project deliverables Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to lead change and motivate others at all levels within the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others without direct authority
  • Effective decision-making, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and firm schedules
  • Ability to embrace a rapidly changing environment and operate throughout ambiguous situations 
  • Self-directed with strong personal initiative
  • Professionalism and strong customer service skills  
  • Proficient MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint 
  • Good knowledge of business, operational and corporate processes
  • Creativity/Innovation skills: Constantly seeking to improve ways of doing things and the quality of services provided
  • Ability to promote teamwork: Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to set goals and solve problems
  • Ability to set priorities for all stakeholders, developing resource plans, conducting project follow-ups, and ensuring activity documentation
