Marketing & Recruitment Specialist

Job Summary:

The Marketing & Recruitment Specialist develop, execute, and monitor marketing and recruitment programs across a variety of channels.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute marketing strategy to support recruiting activities and promote brand awareness.  Partner with local marketing resources to ensure community awareness.
  • Coordinate brand messaging as it relates to recruiting.
  • Develop social media and on-line presence and recruiting strategy.
  • Develop strategies, or make recommendations, to reduce employee turnover and enhance employee quality of life.
  • Analyzes the recruitment process performance, prepares the recruitment dashboards, presents dashboards, recommends changes to the recruitment process and implements changes.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities to include job fairs and campus events to promote recruitment.
  • Partner with local resources and education services to build inroads for talent and staffing needs.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to identify the role’s key duties and core competencies along with any educational or certification requirements to create job postings.
  • Identify potential hires based on applicant resumes and vacant staff positions. Works closely with production managers and HR business partners to identify critical positions and examine applicant information determine which candidates meet or exceed the position’s requirements.
  • Conduct pre-screening interviews with job candidates. Make recommendations to the hiring manager for further interviews.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data related to departing employees to determine whether there are structural or organization-wide reasons for voluntary turnover.
  • Coordinate monthly newsletter.
  • Lead all internal marketing and recruiting efforts for staffing events and campaigns.

Education & Job Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or marketing.
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist / Recruiter.
  • 2 (two) years of direct experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media and niche professional websites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills for time management.
  • Require a self-motivated individual who can perform multiple tasks and able to balance many demands at once.  
  • Performance, results-driven individual focused on teamwork with the ability to create/sustain a strong, positive, vibrant culture.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and creative/marketing applications.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills for time management.
  • Require a self-motivated individual who can perform multiple tasks and able to balance many demands at once.  
  • Performance, results-driven individual focused on teamwork with the ability to create/sustain a strong, positive, vibrant culture.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard work hours when position requires additional effort.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Travel to offsite locations.
  • Some exposure to a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
