JOB SUMMARY:

Supports the Finance Tooling Manager as the subject-matter experts of our tooling system, audit requirements and system controls. This role is primarily responsible for Tooling PO Approval workflow, PO creation and invoice approvals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily tooling purchase order creation – Based on Workflow approval system

  • Weekly Invoice processing – Entering / gaining approval for payment releases based on project milestones

  • Working with IS team to investigate errors and test system improvements

  • Provide daily support to other users of the tooling system – answering questions, investigating problems, etc.

  • Helps identify areas of improvement to the overall tooling process

  • Ongoing Tooling system governance – Serves along with Finance Tooling Manager as the SME for the tooling system – both approval workflow and Powerlink processing system

  • Monthly Total Polaris Tooling reporting – Reports and tracks commitment reporting for all GBU’s and functions

  • Support monthly and quarterly SOX control audits – Ensures our SOX controls are met

  • Support in quarterly tooling account reconciliation – Reconciles our capital and expense accounts to ensure all transactions have appropriate approvals

  • Support in gathering documentation for quarterly and annual audit requests – Works with internal and external audit teams as requested

  • Annual tooling true up – Cleans up commitments with invoices for model years past SOP

  • Includes Internal (tool and die dept) and External (PO’s) tooling

  • Assist in Training sourcing and engineering employees in using Tooling System tools and applications.

  • Maintains and documents Tooling processes and procedures.

  • Perform monthly close responsibilities, including applicable journal entries and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

  • 2-3 years experience in finance/accounting required.

  • Previous accounts payable knowledge, whether direct or indirect, desired.

  • Strong knowledge of Excel desired.

  • Previous AS400 and OneStream experience a plus.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a matrix environment with multiple customers and evaluators.

  • Successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills with previous experience working with senior management.

  • Detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at once.
