The Publications Manager leads direct and cross-functional teams to develop a long range plan that drives world class publications across the globe. Through relationship building, project management, and team leadership, the Publications Manager drives delivery of accurate and on-time technical content to our dealers.  This role will also be accountable for establishing and driving overall Publications vision and strategy.


Organizational Leadership

  • Lead the Publications functional business strategy, and integrate the strategy within the broader organization
  • Partner with Innovation teams across the organization to deliver new technology
  • Oversee planning and scheduling of work to meet timelines and quality goals for internal partners, dealers, and customers
  • Collect and manage department metrics to monitor progress and effectiveness of content
  • Support long range Central Service strategy, annual planning, and capability development
  • Identify and implement LEAN initiatives and new tools to drive out waste and increase productivity and quality
  • Manage departmental and organizational projects- identify opportunities and requirements, assemble and lead working teams, create project plans, and deliver timely results
  • Influence, motivate, and negotiate with cross-functional teams to ensure objectives are met
  • Complete financial planning to drive strategic investments and set and meet budgets
  • Develop and deliver progress updates to leadership and executive teams on strategic initiatives
  • Develop best practices and influence adoption
  • Lead localization activities for Publications elements associated with new product and program releases

Customer and Quality Focus

  • Represent the voice of the dealer and identify cutting edge technologies and strategies that improve Service Publications
  • Develop mesh points to integrate dealer feedback into new and existing processes and standard work
  • Act as a unifying voice to drive teams to think and work cross-functionally in every decision
  • Serve as a communication conduit to connect Publications teams to Corporate strategies


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Engineering, Business, Technical Documentation, or a related field
  • Deep experience (6+ years) across Publications, Service, and IT, PG&A, and Engineering
  • Demonstrated business expertise in technical writing, dealership operations, and publications tools
  • Proven capability in organizing & delivering large, complex, and transformational initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational leadership, creating vision and purpose across the organization
  • Cross-functional influencing capabilities, able to work well across and up and down the organization
  • Professional, concise and visual communications skills
  • Experience with content development tools: Windchill, Arbortext, Creo Illustrate, Adobe


  • Standard, fast-paced office environment
  • Travel as needed (~10% under normal circumstances)
