ORV Development Technician – Intake, Exhaust, and Fuel Systems 

JOB SUMMARY:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intake, Exhaust, and Fuel Systems Development Technician to join our off-road vehicle (ORV) group.  As a member of our research and development team, you will build prototype parts and evaluate new technologies.   In addition, you will perform tests to optimize system architecture and verify vehicle specifications are met.  You will work to ensure that the final product package is optimized to exceed the customer's expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1.System level research & development
2.Conduct tests while maintaining data accuracy
3.Keep good records and write test reports for tests conducted
4.Protype and fabrication of development parts
5.Evaluate new system technologies
6.Benchmarking Competitive vehicle components and systems
7.Maintain strict confidentiality
8.Maintain a clean, safe work area and meet OSHA requirements
9.Good self-starter, willing to work overtime as needed
10.Must be willing to travel periodically to do product evaluation and development
11.Able to communicate professionally and drive project to timely completion
12.Perform other miscellaneous duties as required

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

1.High school diploma required
2.2-Year degree in technical field preferred
3.Minimum 3 years mechanic or technician experience preferred
4.Fabrication and welding experience required
5.TIG welding experience preferred
6.Strong mechanical aptitude required
7.Powersports experience preferred
8.Must be capable of operating ORVs in extreme conditions
9.Data acquisition and diagnostic tool experience preferred
10.Basic computer skills required
11.Valid drivers license required
12.Must be capable of driving trucks with trailers (<26,000 GCVR)
13.Must be capable of operating forklifts
